Elizabeth Goudgen Little white horse oli joululahja Isovanhemmilta pari vuotta sitten ja saman kirjailijan Vihreän delfiinin maan löysin kirppikseltä vuosi-pari sitten.
Little white horse kirjasta on myös elokuva nimeltä the Secret of Moonacre (Kuuprinsessa on suomennoksen nimi, kirjasta taas ei taida suomennosta olla).
May oli Saksalainen seikkailu kirjailija ja hänen kenties kuuluisin "faninsa" oli Adolf Hitler jonka mielestä jokaisen Saksalaispojan repussa pitäisi olla Karl Mayn seikkailukirja.
Frank L. Baumin Oz-maan taikurin bongasin kirppikseltä, kuten myös Paroni von Münchhausenin seikkailut, joka on niin outo kirja ettei mitään rajaa.
Zane Greyn Metsien miehen ostin huuto.netistä aloitettuani lukemaan Isovanhemmiltani lainaamaa painosta.... josta puuttui sivuja.
William Makepeace Thackerayn Henry Esmondin historia oli kirppislöytö ja sitäkään en ole lukenut, kyseinen kirjailija on myös kirjoittanut semmoiset teokset kuin Vanity Fair (Turhuuden turuilla) ja Barry Lyndon, joista on tehty myös elokuvat, ensiksi mainitussa on Reese Witherspoon pääosassa ja toka on Stanley Kubrickin leffa.
Choderlos de Laclosin Vaarallisia suhteita kirjan otin vaihdossa antikvariaatissa, joskus vuosia sitten minulla oli siitä vanha 40-luvun painos jossa oli kuvia, tässä painoksessa ei ole kuvia. :(

Gabaldonin Lordi John sarjaa olenkin lukenut jo ennen Muukalaista ja hyllystäni löytyvätkin Lordin yksityisasia, Lordi John ja paholaisen korttipakka sekä Lordi John ja veitsenterän veljeskunta, jota ei itseasiassa ole kertaakaan luettu vielä... Kyseisen kirjan ole kyllä lukenut mutta tuon painoksen sain kaveriltani lainattuani omani hänelle jonka hän sitten turmeli ja oli käynyt suoraan ostamassa uuden minulle.
Elizabeth Kostovan Historiantutkija lähti alennusmyynnistä mukaan koska olen aina pitänyt Draculasta ja kirjahan olikin todella hyvä.
Anneli Kannon Piru, kreivi, noita ja näyttelijä kirjan tilasin huuto.netistä vuosia sitten ja tuossa viime tai edellisvuonna luin sen ja se oli todella hyvä, mukavaa lukea välillä Suomalaista kirjallisuutta, varsinkin sellaista jossa on Turku!
Ursula Pohjolan-Pirhosen Versaillesin valtiatar ja Rosalind Lakerin Kuningas kutsuu tanssiin 1 on kirppislöytöjä, joita en ole vielä lukenut. Olen todella on huono lukemaan historiallisia romaaneja, ellei niitä ole kirjoitettu 100-vuotta sitten. lol.
Tracy Chevalierin Tyttö ja helmikorvakoru (jonka pohjalta on myös kyseinen elokuva tehty) ja Neito ja yksisarvinen.

Well I've never played Mölkky. LOL. But traditional games... hmmm... Well from board games this game called Afrikan tähti (Africa's star) is pretty common childrens game. I'm so bad at this o__o my brother's kids just mostly plays afrikan tähti and memory games.

Aah yes! Hide and seek is popular too, and this game called kirkonrotta (church rat), which is similar to hide and seek, but there has to be a wall which is like "safe area", like if the seeker founds you, you have to run like hell to get to the wall before him/her and shout "omat" but if the seeker gets there first he/her has to shout the name of the one he/she found. :D Also there has to shout rude stuff to the seeker while hiding.

Mirror called game is very usual too, there's one child face to the wall and then the other children are faaar away back and try to get to the wall where the face to the wall child is and she/he looks backwards and everybody must froze, if you move you're out, if you reach the wall then you win. this takes some time, cause you can just turn backwards to the wall anytime you want to so many is out of the game because some try to run to the wall. lol.
Kuka pelkää mustaa miestä (who scares the black man) is played outside too, there you must draw 2 lines and "black man" stands in the middle and other players are otherside of the line and the "black man" shouts "who scares black man" and the other players run to other line, everyone who the "black man" touches are out of the game, the last one who isn't touched wins the game.
Colour is similar to mirror but the kid who is face on the wall shouts colours and how long way those who have that colour can walk, like "who has pink can take two giant steps".
Pikipata (pitchpot o__O) is a game that's played on the sand, you draw a huge circle and to all players except one, you draw small circles outside the big one as home and in the middle you draw a circle too which is the pitchpot, and the person without home circle takes a stick and walks the circle and drops the stick on someones back and the one who's back the stick is has to run on opposite direction with the dropper and the one who gets to circle get's it and the one who's out has to take the stick and if you don't notice the stick behind you before the dropper is at your home circle you need to go to the middle circle the pitchpot and is released when someone else get's there.
In Purkkis (cannister) you put a can in the middle of the grass and one of the players kicks it as far as possible, seeker goes find the can and the other players hurry to hide. When the seeker puts the can where it was he/she shouts "can's home" and goes to seek the other players, when he/she finds someone he/she runs back to can and shouts name and can, like "Jessica's in can", but the one hiding can try to get to the can before the seeker and kick it far as possible and then all the other players are in safe, the one who's found first is the seeker in the next round.
Poista10 tikkua laudalla (10 stick in a board) needs 10 sticks and a board. You put the 10 sticks in the middle of the board and the board on a table or something then someone kicks the the board on other end so the sticks fly through the air and the seeker collects the sticks and the other ones goes hide, when the sticks are collected the seeker shouts "10 sticks on a board" and goes find those who hide but keeps an eye of the board too cause the those in hide try to go to kick the board again which means the seeker needs to collect them again and you can find a new hide place. When the seeker finds someone he runs to the board and shouts "saw Jessica" which means the first found is the seeker next round.
Maan ryöstö (land robber), players draw their shoesize marks on the ground and stands in there and the players throw a stick to eachother and try to kick it in the air as far as possible and you measure the way from your shoe to the stick and put a mark where the stick is and that's the land you've robbed, if the stick falls in your land the landowner loses his/her land on the other side of the stick. If you lose land so much you don't have space to stand you're out of the game.
Photographer, where the the 1 child takes the 2 child's hands and start to spin them couple of times and let's go and the 2 child has to freeze in the position when the 1 child takes hands off, then the photographer does this to other childs and in the end she/he judge the positions and the best one is the new photographer.
Dodgeball is popular too and it's played on the swing too(which brokes your glasses pretty well...).

Oh, really? Weird, El Coyote was here popular at the 50's-60's :D there's like over 70 parts in the series.
Bonanza is a classic here too, lol, my grandparents and mom has been Bonanza fans since they started to show the series here on TV. :D
Hahahaha, maybe El Coyote was popular here as well back then and I just didn't know. Bonanza goes back to TV from time to time, so I know it better.
PoistaWow, this helped a lot, really! It's surprising how many games are similar to ours. We also have the Mirror game (it's called either the 'English hide-and-seek' or 'un, dos, tres, ¡plan!'), and something similar to Pikipata too. Purkkis reminded me of 'Sangre' (Blood), which is a game we play with a ball; everyone has to choose a country and the seeker calls one of those countries to war. He throws the ball and the other one has to grab the ball while the others run away. I've always liked Sangre, it was fun.

PoistaI wish Bonanza would come from TV here too, last time it came I was in the elementary. I have the first season on DVD box though. But they haven't release the seasons with Candy Canaday on DVD. T____T
